The Valley Catholic Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in 1947 as St. Mary’s Parish Federal Credit Union.  This initial common bond of membership has been expanded over the years and in 1999 we changed our name to reflect these changes.  For these past 70+ years we have been giving our members the friendly, high quality service they look for in a financial institution.

What’s good for you is good for your credit union.  Because credit unions are not-for-profit financial service cooperatives, owned and controlled by the people who use their services, they work for the benefit of the members.

Because you are the force behind our credit union’s growth and prosperity, and because credit unions work for the members, you and your fellow members can expect:

  • A financially secure institution complying with the laws and regulations that govern it.
  • A solid financial condition; responsible management of members’ financial resources
  • Highly principled employees demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
  • Respectful, courteous, timely, and unbiased personal service.
  • Confidential records and transactions.
  • The opportunity for your opinions to be heard and valued.
  • Voting rights.
  • Volunteer credit union board and committee membership opportunities if you qualify and are elected.
  • Dividend and loan rates that compete with and, whenever possible, offer advantages over other financial institutitions’ rates.
  • Truthful advertising and disclosure of product and service rates, risks, charges, obligations, terms and conditions.
  • Timely notification and correction of credit union errors or inaccuracies.
  • Timely response to loan requests, account problems, or suggestions.
  • Consumer information that will help you make wise credit, savings, and purchasing decisions, and to effectively manage your money.

You are a member of an organization owned by its members.  It is always easier and more pleasant to do business where you are a member and not just an account number.

When you save and borrow from the Credit Union, you support an organization whose sole purpose is to help its members prosper.  You are always welcome and we hope you come in whenever financial help is needed.

We appreciate the privilege of serving you.  thank you for being a credit union member.
